EAA Young Eagles

Young Eagles is a program created and organized by the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) to provide a platform for volunteer pilots to give children between the ages of 8 to 17 an opportunity to experience flight in a general aviation airplane. This program is offered free of charge.

The EAA, Philips 66, and Sporty’s Pilot Shop are the primary sponsors of the program and provide materials and resources to the volunteers and pilots. Volunteer pilots donate their time and the cost of providing the flights for the children in their own or rented aircraft.

To date, over 43,000 volunteer pilots have participated in the program and have flown over 2 million Young Eagles.

Kevin is a designated EAA Young Eagles Field Representative and routinely hosts Young Eagles Rally’s at his home base, Aero Country in McKinney, Texas.
